We cracked the 100!!

So, my last post was in September so a bit of an update is needed I think :o)

We managed to get another unexpected week away in Kitty in October so have added a few to our total - it's great being able to find somewhere to break our journeys where we know what the quality will be like and also know there is a great chance of getting a comfortable seat.  Whilst I am not as mobile as I'd like to be with the dreaded Fibro, I also cannot sit in one position for too long either without increasing my pain levels so planning these stops along the way is really useful.

This is the Amber Rooms in Loughborough and also in Loughborough, The Moon & Bell

The photos above are where we stopped for the night, a lovely quiet layby close to our next day's destination:

The next day we visited the beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon where we lunched at The Golden Bee, a nice quiet day to recover from yesterday's journey.

The Old Swanne Inne, Evesham, another beautiful town.

This is the Silk Mercer in Devizes a morning stop (bacon butties!) - this day was mostly dedicated my spiritual side, visiting the Big Bellied Oak in Savernake Forest, a quick photo-stop at Silbury Hill and then the amazing Avebury Stones!!

The William Dampier, Yeovil

Sir Isaac Pitman & The Albany Palace, Trowbridge
(Sorry about the awful pictures - these were on my tablet)

The Bath Arms, Warminster

The Greyhound, Bridport for tea.

Not the best photo but this was a morning stop at Cerne Abbas (unfortunately we weren't up to the walk up the hill) just a faint outline really - on the way to Poole:

The Blackwater Stream, The Lord Wimborne & The Quay all in Poole a rest day really
and we managed to get a seat with Lord Baden Powell right outside The Quay!

After a rested day, we headed through the New Forest to Beaulieu, somewhere that has long been on my wish-list!  Beautiful gardens, and beautiful cars - including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!!! :oD

A wonderful but tiring day followed by tea at The Six Bells, Lymington

The next day was - Glastonbury!!  So pleased I finally got to visit the Goddess Temple :o)

The Quarter Jack, Wells

The Bridge House, Chippenham

The Four Candles :D and The Swan & Castle, Oxford

The Weeping Ash, St Neots

Then in November, I attended a 2-day craft retreat in Coventry, taking Phil and Kitty along for the ride :o)  Another good excuse to go out for tea!!

The Earl of Mercia

The Flying Standard

The Spon Gate

& The City Arms, all in Coventry.

So another 23 to add to the list!
Thanks for reading
Phil & Stefanie :o)
